Stuff you can do on Week of 10/20-10/24:

I set up pages for most of the books; because I'm missing A LOT of the pre-reading sheets, I was unable to assign groups effectively, so there will be some last-minute shifting on Monday. What you'll need to do is go through and add individuals to the pages as we figure out who's in which group.
  • Filing.
  • Occasionally check computers for stray files (on the desktop) and messed up settings: delete or move stray files; reset anything messed up; clear password history; check for weird bookmarks, etc. (eventually, we should make a checklist for things you'd want to look for)
  • Don't forget the little things -- like making sure there are plenty of "missed vocabulary" sheets, notebook paper, and the staplers are filled with staples. :)

To add spaces for new books: (this is just information I wanted to stick somewhere)

  • Log in to your account and go to http://www.wikispaces.com/t/x/teachers100K .
  • Create the new space nt ame for the group removing all punctuation and spaces from the title of the book. (e.g., Kokopelli’s Flute becomes KokopellisFlute). If there is already a space with that name, add “-egjh” to the name.
  • Make that space private and check the box indicating the space is for educational purposes.
  • Add a link in the WANDA navigation sidebar (NOTE: since the pages are on separate spaces, this needs to be an external link)
